Ah! Remember William Hung? He was that funny looking Asian dude who completely fucking butchered "She Bangs" by Ricky Martin on American Idol in 2004 when it was still watchable. He was a student at University of California, Berkeley, but dropped out to pursue his "music career."
He enjoyed mediocre fame for a while after his appearance on the show. A William Hung fan site recorded over 4 million hits within its first week, Hung appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show With David Letterman, The Howard Stern Radio Show, Arrested Development and about a million more and an online petition to get Hung back to American Idol included more than 100,000 signatures. He released three albums including a Christmas album called Hung for the Holidays which is a fucking EPIC (and kind of perverted) name for an album.
One of Hung's last public honors was being crowned the Artichoke King of 2006 in Castroville, California's Artichoke Festival - and before you make fun of that or snicker (yeah I hear you ya snide bitches) other honories include Marilyn Monroe!
So, where is he now?
Hung is still in Los Angeles and working for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department as a "Technical Crime Analyst." Basically he crunches numbers to develop preventative strategies.
Let this be a lesson to you kiddies! Though he has a good job there ain't no guarantees! So...
Stay in school! (And avoid listening to William Hung if possible.)
