The ink has barely dried on the Skinnygirl Margarita maven's $120 million dollar contract with Fortune Brands and already we have a lawsuit!?!
Bethenny's super-successful cocktail is at the center of a suit brought by Doug Wald and his company Raw Talent. In his lawsuit against Frankel, Wald claims he had a verbal contract with Frankel to be her manager and that he helped her launch Skinnygirl Cocktails. Verbal contract? That's not helpful at all! You need to write important shit like multi-million dollar business deals down!
Wald says she fired him just days before she launched the line. Ouch! Raw Talent is seeking damages in excess of $112 million, legal fees, and other costs associated with the lawsuit.
Ah - good old litigious America!
