Shut the fuck up! My ass has to worry about brain-eating amoebas now?
Apparently there is a waterborne parasite known as the "brain-eating amoeba" and shit is no joke! This damn, dirty bugger has caused the deaths of at least two young people this month - A 9-year-old boy in Virginia and a 16-year-old girl in Florida. The amoeba is rare but extremely deadly and causes amoebic meningoencephalitis - an infection that attacks the brain and spine.
It's "found in stagnant freshwater during hot weather."
Don't go cannon-balling into any lakes, yo!
