Lindsay Lohan showed up on Leno tonight in a much anticipated post-court interview about her
Sporting a black silk jumpsuit like it was 19 motherfucking 80, the jailbird gave little insight into her recent problems aside from relaying how shocked she was about the outcome of her latest court case. LiLo basically kept saying that she "was taking responsibility" for things.
When Jay probed about her punishment a little more she said her last time in jail was "a wake up call" and that "everything happens for a reason". She took time to praise her crazy mother as her support system and though Jay pointed out that her parents seem more like her friends than her parents LiLo simply shrugged it off - she loooves her mommy! She also shrugged off any talk of her idiot father - thank God for that - last I heard that guy was on a big boat banging Kim G while awaiting his own court date.
When asked about her love life Lindsay said she doesn't have anyone right now and likes being alone to cook (food not crack).
At the end of the interview Jay brought up Robert Downey Jr. and his amazing comeback as if trying to comfort her. The audience did their part in enabling the has been by clapping appropriately when she spoke and making her feel all warm and gooey inside...bleh.
Bottom line is she's "not a kid anymore", she's "made lots of mistakes" and she wants to change the "public perception" of her. Cue the PR machine - she said all the right things. Too bad she doesn't do the right things as well.
Props for the fodder about meeting John Gotti when she was a little kid though - that nugget was at least interesting.
