Man, if Fox fucks up The Simpsons - Imma be piiisssed!!!
If y'all have been following the Simpsons cast Vs. Fox station boooshit then you know that those greedy pricks over at Fox have asked the main cast to take a 45% pay cut. The cast DOES singularly make more money than some small countries but the show and merch makes Fox friggin' billions!!! Hello! how many of us have done the Bart Man??? (PS. my jock brother Bill bought the cassette tape - I just went along with all of it for acceptance...)
So the cast has since been pretty co-operative, working together and pulling a Friends-type camaraderie bit, but then Harry Shearer (the voice of many characters including Smithers and Mr. Burns - yes, that's the same person! Isn't that awesome?) said he'd take a 70% pay cut if they'll give him some of the show's profits. Shearer's rep told TMZ that the station said there are "simply no circumstances under which the network would consider allowing me or any of the actors to share in the show’s success."
That made things interesting...
Basically all 6 cast members have been negotiating as a group with FOX without any sort of profit sharing options and Shearer's new random offer which would obvi make him waaaay more bank would throw everything askew.
TMZ is reporting that, "One source familiar with the negotiations thinks it's still possible for the group to get back on track ... but, as it was put to us, 'Harry is the wild card.'"
Damn you Fox! Pay them whatever they want you assholes! I'll never watch your channel again if you eff this up jerks. (Except for Ramsey's shows - that motherfucker is badass!)
